This contract certifies an official binding agreement between the Haus of Blues, LLC (hereafter known as “Breeder”) and _________________ (hereafter known as “Purchaser.”) The before named Great Dane puppy is sold to the purchaser according to the following conditions:

Breeder has followed the breed’s National Club Guidelines and used the American Kennel Club, health schemes and certification to ensure that the sire and dam are sound breeding stock. The puppies have been reared in a home environment and have been dewormed at 2 week intervals. The puppy is believed to be in good health at the time of the exchange of the animal from Breeder to Purchaser.

The Purchaser is strongly advised to have the puppy checked by a licensed veterinarian within seven (7) days of taking physical ownership of the animal. If the veterinarian certifies that there is any problem which makes the puppy unfit for sale, provided the puppy is returned in the same condition as when it was sold, and within seven (7) days of the physical time of exchange of the animal from Breeder to Purchaser, Breeder will retain ownership of the puppy and refund the full purchase price paid by Purchaser.

We are recommending Natural Balance Limited Ingredients Adult Lamb in the dark green bag (please see our website for more information). Above all else though, please ask your vet. I am not a licensed Vet, I am only giving advice. My advice should never take the place of your licensed Vet.

Written or printed documentation will not be accepted as proof of a hereditary disability. The Breeder will be required to contact the veterinarian and speak with them directly to validate Buyer concerns. A veterinarian certifying the inherited defect must provide proof that they are fully licensed and accredited in the United States.

The breeder will not pay expenses incurred in the return of a puppy nor accept any claim of liability for emotional distress caused to the Buyer, or Buyer’s relatives, friends, or associates during the process of the return of the animal.

The puppy with come with his/her first set of shots which include:

  • Distempter
  • Measles
  • Parainfluenze
  • Bordatella

The puppy will need his/her vaccination booster shots at the age of 10-12 weeks. Breeder will provide all shots up to this point.

Breeder has made direct inquiry of the Purchaser regarding Purchaser’s previous experience with dogs, and with this specific breed. Based on the information provided by Purchaser, Breeder is willing to transfer physical ownership of the puppy named in this contract to the purchaser.

Breeder has pointed out to the Purchaser breed specific conditions that this puppy may be prone to. In addition, Breeder has disclosed those health schemes recommended to be followed to reduce the risk of occurrence of such conditions. Purchaser recognizes and agrees that every puppy is an individual and the Breeder cannot guarantee or be held responsible for any conditions, genetic or otherwise, which develop later in life.

The purchaser agrees that the dog will be kept in appropriate conditions for its health and well-being. The Purchaser agrees that the puppy will be fed on a suitable diet for its age and condition, as well as have adequate exercise. The puppy will receive all necessary veterinary care to maintain good physical health. The puppy will be kept under appropriate control and will not be neglected or maltreated in any way which may be construed as harmful to his/her health. The Purchaser attests that he/she has not been banned from keeping a dog or any other animal by any legal court order.

Please remember that Danes are not outdoor dogs! They have short, light coats which makes them susceptible to cold or hot weather. Even 80-degree outdoor weather can be too warm for them, if they are outside for too long. Cool and cold weather environments can also be harmful to the animals. Great Danes do not have an undercoat which other dogs have, meaning that they cannot regulate their body temperature themselves.

If circumstances occur where it becomes necessary to re-home the puppy (at any age), Purchaser agrees that Breeder must first be notified and given an opportunity to take back possession of the dog. This is not an agreement to provide a refund of the payment made by the Purchaser. Rather, the Purchase and Breeder agree that the animal will be returned to the Breeder, no questions asked. Breeder agrees to take possession of the animal at this time.

Breeder will always retain the right to relinquish the dog if the dog is deemed to be
in an unhealthy environment. No purchase or vet fees will be returned.

No refunds are ever given, under any circumstance. A replacement puppy or equal value will be given by one of my litters or from a known and trusted breeder. If the puppy is deemed unfit for sale, the Vet must be a licensed US Vet. I must be able to speak with the Vet on the phone
or in person. Should you choose to put the puppy down, without my ability to
speak with the Vet or pick up the live puppy myself, no replacement puppy will be given. No
Vet bills are ever paid back under any circumstance.
